Impose sanctions on Israel if it annexes settlements in the West Bank.

Closed 90 signatures

What the petition asks

If Israel goes ahead with plans to annex up to 30% of the occupied West Bank in July, then the UK Government should immediately impose an arms embargo together with a complete trade ban on the import and export of goods and services to/from West Bank settlements.
Israel has indicated that it plans to annex Jewish settlements in the West Bank with the blessing of the United States. The United Kingdom should not accept a land grab which could destroy any prospect for a peaceful solution to the Israel/Palestine dispute. The best way to respond to this is to threaten to, and if necessary impose, sanctions against the state of Israel to penalise it for any unilateral action that does not have the required support of the U.N.
