Reduce Vehicle ROAD TAX

Before 2000 road tax was based on ENGINE SIZE. after 2000 road tax is based on Co2 CARBON EMISSIONS. but the vehicles before 2000s are not environmentally friendly and there Co2 are higher. Since then the new vehicles are environmentally friendly and Co2 are less than vehicles before 2000s.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand you would like to reduce vehicle excise duty for less polluting vehicles, but we're not sure whether you want to cars registered before 2001 to be taxed based on their emissions are or whether you'd like a different change to reduce vehicle tax rates.
