Longer sentence for terrorists supporters or deport back to family roots country
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
I would like the Government to give terrorists and there supporters a longer jail sentence or deportation back to there family roots country.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The Government already has the power to deport people when the Home Secretary has decided that their removal from the country is 'conducive to the public good', so we're not sure what else you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to do.
A court can also recommend deportation if someone is convicted of a criminal offence with a prison term.
British citizens cannot be deported. You can find more information about that here:

We could accept a petition asking for longer sentences for terrorist offences, if that's what you'd like to happen.
