What the petition asks
Care workers in Wales are getting a £500 cash payment gift from the welsh government. The money is a '' thank you for the hard work done by carers, support worker and any vital keyworker during the coronvirus pandemic the United Kingdom should follow.
Our tasks include: providing a high level of personal care which poses a greater degree of risk and responsibility whilst also juggling own personal responsibilities. By doing that we put our lives at risk.
The payment will be a small token of recognising and appreciating the hard work and the sacrifices care workers have to make on a daily basis to ensure vulnerable people are cared for during this extremely difficult period. As very often our work has gone without recognition over the past years. Hoping this will also mark a new era within the profession and hopefully will entice more people to join in and be part of the amazing profession.
