Urgent review of new legislation Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The government has unlawfully removed our human rights by creating legislation which is ultra vires. Protect our rights by legislating to ensure people are free to accept or decline a vaccination at their own choice – this is a basic human right.
The Emergency Coronavirus Regulations 2020 needs to be repealed as it is ultra vires the Public Health Act 1984 from where it is derived. The test of Proportionality has not been applied. The need for the legislation is based on the Imperial College mathematical models predictions which have been shown to be completely wrong and statistics that are highly inaccurate. The Emergency Coronavirus Regulations 2020 is unlawful and is a major infringement on our human rights. See Lord Sumption.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

The Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 explicitly prevents vaccinations being mandatory, and there have been no changes to this. You can find out more here:
