Intervention against insurance companies regecting valid covid business claims

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

My claim is valid based on policy wording but my insurance company refuse the claim blaming my loss of income on government closure and not covid 19
Initially insurance companies said without mandatory closure they cannot do anything, a complete contrast to their current stance

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The decision to pay out under a policy is one for individual insurance companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.

If you are unhappy with the decision of your insurer you should complain directly to them.

If you are unsatisfied with how an insurer responds to your complaint you may wish to contact the financial ombudsman: https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/businesses/complaints-deal/insurance
