Do not lift lockdown restrictions
Closed

What the petition asks
The Government should apply the precautionary principle when considering easing lockdown measures and wait until more is known about the impact of easing lockdown in other countries in Europe.
The Government appear to be responding to political pressure to lift the lockdown, but there is very little evidence that this is what the public as a whole want them to do. We want the Government to keep us safe and that implies a high degree of caution about lifting measures that might increase the reproduction rate of the virus and could cause a second outbreak and hence more death and suffering.
