Stop the planned implementation of facial recognition within the United Kingdom

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

Stop tech companies from creating "Health Passports" using facial recognition technology. To prevent the Government, tech companies, other companies or agents of the Government from storing and using, individual facial biometric data in an electronic database, against your identity.
The United Kingdom is currently allowing tech companies to develop "Health Passports" using facial biometrics. These will be used to help provide a digital certificate – sometimes known as an immunity passport. Through the use of facial recognition, many citizens are concerned for their safety, security and human rights being compromised and for this reason we do not welcome facial recognition technology systems in the UK.
