ban the use of the key and deathspike on tins of corned beef.

What the petition asks
Force corned beef manufacturers to use normal tins like other canned good instead of this outdated, dangerous deathtrap.
In the year 2020 I cannot fathom how we are still allowing corned beef manufacturers to get away with something that was brought in during war times. A product that has a key on to open is probably sensible if you are knee-deep in god-knows-what on the front lines of a trench fighting for King/Queen and country, but now we should have collectively moved on from this dangerous, awkward fingerslicer. It is ridiculous that this has been allowed to carry on for so long. Change it.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
The type of can used for particular food products is a matter for individual producers, not the Government or House of Commons.
