Petition · past parliament
Pay commission/service charge for hospitality industry if in our normal wage.
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
Pay the commission or service charge as part of the wage for hospitality workers. This is taxed by the government and counted as our taxable working wage but not yet paid as part of our working wage for furlough.
This money is valuable and essential for the workers in the hospitality industry to pay bills, rent and credit bills we all may have. Many companies pay minimum wage and rely on the money of service charge to contribute towards paying staff more than that rate.
