Petition · past parliament

Give parents a choice to keep children home during COVID pandemic.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The government should not enforce pupils to go to schools because the parents and pupils might feel anxious or even scared to go to school. This should be a decision that parents take when they feel it's safe for their children to go to school.
Given the lack of testing, PPE and vaccination, some parents and pupils might not feel safe that the pupils go to school. This decision should not be enforced on the parents and children by the government. Similar to work advice "you should work from home if you can and go to work if you must", the parents should have the option "keep your children home schooled if you can and send them to school if you must".
