What the petition asks

The BBC are going to axe the only channel dedicated to the arts. This channel aids education for many studying Open University and distance learning.
It enables people who do not have access to arts venues, such as galleries and The Proms to enjoy what Britain and the world has to offer.
To discuss the need to preserve the arts and broadcasting of the arts. The BBC is the people's organisation and provides a service not only here, but around the world.
To emplore the BBC to reconsider this decision and preserve this wonderful service.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
