Change the start of the school year to January

What the petition asks
We would like the government to consider changing the start of the school year to January.
The coronavirus has had such a disruption on schools. This change would allow children to catch up with work they they have missed and get used to a new school environment due to social distancing. The teachers could ease them back to classes they are used from Sept to Dec. This would take the pressure of parents, children and teachers. It would allow children to prepare for exams and not miss out on transition to different years and new schools
