What the petition asks
Lead by example , if you want our children back at school , have the courage to go to work yourselves. We will not consider risking our children, if you our elected representatives will not even risk going about business as usual .
You need to do as you wish us to do. You ask us to risk our children, without the courage to go to work yourselves, shame on you.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Since you started your petition the House of Commons has returned, and rules allowing all Members to participate in proceedings virtually have fallen. The House of Commons has agreed that Members who are unable to attend Westminster for medical or public health reasons related to the pandemic can attend proceedings virtually.
