What the petition asks

To abolish the requirement that NHS Fees are charged for NHS and Care Staff and their families.

The Home Secretary should ensure that it becomes a statutory requirement that any such charges should be scrapped.

The NHS and Care Home industry could not function without the significant contribution made by Foreign and Migrant workers.

The COVID-19 pandemic proved the high reliance we have on these foreign and Migrant workers (and their supporting families).

It has been unfortunate that such a high proportion of the deaths in the NHS and Care staff were people of BAME and foreign extraction.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Reduce or scrap the immigration health surcharge for overseas NHS Staff.
