Use Nightingale hospitals to undertake all the missed treatments for cancer etc
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
The Government must use the Nightingale facilities to allow the NHS to catch up on all the urgent care for cancer, heart disease and other significant medical issues that have been unable to be tackled during the coronavirus crisis
It ensures that there are less associated deaths from other diseases as a consequence of coronavirus and that the massive task of setting up the Nightingale hospitals is not wasted
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions on hospital capacity, how beds are allocated, and the facilities and services available in any given hospital is an operational decision for the NHS, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and individual trusts.
