Publicly condemn China's plan to impose a National Security Law on Hong Kong

What the petition asks
The UK Government has a unique responsibility to the people of Hong Kong. It should publicly condemn China’s move to impose a National Security Law on Hong Kong and call on other governments and international bodies to do the same.
China’s plan to ignore Hong Kong’s Legislative Council and impose a National Security Law on the territory is authoritarian. The UK Government has a responsibility to ensure China upholds its promise of ‘one country, two systems’ until 2047. If this law is pushed through, the rights and freedoms of Hong Kong citizens will be put at risk.
