Stop people gathering on beaches
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
I want councils in coastal areas to step up and stop the mass gathering of people on beaches during the pandemic
We need the government and parliament to readdress this situation soon as possible
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government is responsible for determining restrictions across England, but decisions about local matters such as the closure of beaches is a matter for individual local authorities, and enforcement of any restrictions is a matter for the local police.
If you want beaches in your area to be closed you may wish to contact your local authority about this.
