Petition · past parliament

Allow the reopening of parks and gardens operated by heritage organisations.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

That the government make a statement as soon as possible to allow heritage bodies such as the National Trust, National Gardens Scheme, English Heritage and similar to open outdoor ticketed venues where social distancing can be maintained
To support these important heritage charities and to allow more places where people can benefit from exercise and improved mental health from being able to experience our shared heritage.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

Since you started your petition the Government has lifted the restrictions on parks and gardens from opening: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/further-businesses-and-premises-to-close/further-businesses-and-premises-to-close-guidance

Reopening is a matter for individual operators, so you should check to see if a particular park or garden has been reopened.
