Allow wedding ceremonies in England respecting social distancing

What the petition asks
Lift the ban on weddings so that local authorities and places of worships may begin to plan and prepare on how to best restart wedding celebrations and ceremonies in a safe and mindful manner. This will also allow couples to prepare and make changes to their big day
Although couples understand the severity of the current situation and do not want to risk a second wave of this deadly virus, brides and grooms all over England are eager to be able to marry their partners. We are not expecting our wedding day to follow the traditional rules and we understand the possible and necessary restrictions. Nevertheless, being able to marry the one we love should be regarded as a basic human need as much as accessing non essential retail is. So please consider our plea.
