For all Leather/Hide/Fur products to state which animal it is sourced from

Closed 112 signatures

What the petition asks

Currently there is no law in the UK to allow consumers to know which animal the hide/fur they have bought has been sourced from. As consumers we have the right to know what animal our goods have been sourced from.
The United Kingdom is known to be a world leader in animal welfare and consumer rights. There have been cases where cat/dog/donkey fur has been found but passed off as faux fur or another animal. This should help prevent illegal imports of cat and dog fur.

We as consumers have the right to make informed choices when we purchase goods, that includes how that purchase was derived.
