If Dominic Cummings will not resign, should the Prime Minister sack him?

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Parliament must undertake an objective review of whether Mr Cummings’ actions set a precedent for people not to do their “civic duty”, with the likely knock on detrimental effect upon the health of the nation and a reduction in trust in the government and the principles it is supposed to uphold.
Because lives may be lost for so long as Mr Cummings’ actions continue to be supported by the Prime Minister and his Cabinet colleagues.

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.

We can’t accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for someone to lose their job. Taking disciplinary action or firing someone is a matter for individual employers to take in line with employment law and the employer’s HR policies.
