What the petition asks
Introduce a substantial fine for people carrying disposable BBQ’s into green spaces lit or not.
With increasing occurrences of moorland fires during hot and dry weather the people who are causing damage to the countryside and adding unnecessary burden to the emergency services are the ones starting fires predominantly through the use of disposable BBQ’s. These individuals should be heavily fined for carrying with the intent to use or using these BBQ’s as well as building fires in high risk areas.
The fines should be substantial and photographic evidence should be allowed in prosecution.
