What the petition asks
Sold as "disposable", these barbecues litter our parks and beaches but more importantly have caused hundreds of fires in moorlands, parks, and forests around the country.
We want the Government to outright ban the use of these wasteful products in public spaces.
We want the Government to outright ban the use of these wasteful products in public spaces.
In the past week, there have been several fires in our countryside resulting in multiple hectares of land being burnt.
During a time when emergency services are already under a lot of stress from Covid-19, it is more important now than ever to ban these disposable barbecues from being used in these spaces.
These disposable barbecues are also very wasteful and damage the environment when not properly disposed of.
