White privilege courses for police officers.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

The U.K. is a country that strives for equality. However we need to take further steps to ensure equity for all. This is a petition to make it a requirement that all police officers, and necessary members of the legal and judicial system to successfully complete a course on white privilege.
BAME groups are still under represented in police forces across the country. BAME groups are still over represented in policing.

Unfortunately many people still do not believe that BAME groups are generally not afforded the same privileges as their white counterparts despite notable social economic and historic (among other) disadvantages. Institutional and subliminal racism is experienced by most if not all, BAME groups in society, it’s impact in policing affects freedoms and liberty.
