Require police to capture Body Worn Video in all interactions with the public

What the petition asks
We demand that the Government require all UK police forces to ensure that Body Worn Video (BWV) is captured during all operations involving interaction with members of the public.
The adoption of BWV has been shown to reduce the use of excessive police force and improve public-police relations. Currently, BWV is not in full use in all UK police forces, and, crucially, it is the officer's decision when to record and when to turn off the recording.
This must change.
To achieve true accountability in a manner consistent with the principle of policing by consent, the Government must ensure this technology is used to scrutinise the police as well as the public.
