Make black history a permanent topic in the curriculum taught in UK schools

What the petition asks

We need the government to permanently implement the topic of black history into history lessons of children in secondary education to create awareness and equality within the UK educational system.

The government needs to do this as the topic of racism is unfortunatley something that needs to be addressed , though many could argue that black history month is dedicated to this it is clear that in the current climate it is not enough. The only way forward is to educate about the past to avoid this repeating in the future.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
