What the petition asks

We would like the Government to evaluate the current school curriculum and consider introducing a more detailed account of Black History and its contribution to the UK; as well as more detail on the British Empire and its involvement in trying to colonise the world and the resulting consequences.

For decades we have seen black people fall victim to racism across multiple institutions & industries within the UK. All of this has culminated in a level of disconnect between the Black Community & society as a whole, as illustrated by the mass demonstrations we are currently witnessing. Education at an early age will contribute to a decrease in ignorance & race crime from oppressors who've no understanding about the struggles Black People have faced, & their contribution to the UK's history.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
