Review private run leisure facilities (Like Everyone Active)

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

I would like the government to review private run leisure facilities that were previously run by Council Authorities, and have local council Authorties run these leisure facilities again.
As services have deteriorated and prices have increased under private run leisure providers (Like Everyone Active). When these facilities were under council control they were more efficient and cleaner and memberships were more reasonable and there was a wider range group classes which have now been cut but membershi fees are on the increase.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions on the running of leisure centres are a matter for individual local authorities, not the UK Parliament or Government.

You could start a petition calling on the Government to nationalise all leisure centres, if that is what you want to happen.
