Introduce stricter restrictions on the sale and ownership of crossbows

What the petition asks
The Government should require the sale and ownership of crossbows to be registered in the same way as it does for firearms.
There have been a number of cases in recent years where people have been killed using crossbows, but the unrestricted sale and ownership of crossbows in the UK continues. No licence is required and purchase online requires no ID.
These are deadly weapons that kill people. Greater restrictions should be in place, along the lines of those that already exist for firearms.
