Legal action against those involved in vandalising memorials in the name of BLM

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

To actively prosecute those involved in vandalising & desecrating memorials, statues and historical/ Important sites in the name of BLM/BLMUK.
Sites like this have nothing to do with the current political and racial issues going on around the world and I do not believe that such actions are representing the movement in the correct way; I find it disgraceful that people think that it is appropriate to ever do such things and that legal action should be taken against them.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions on whether to arrest and prosecute alleged offenders is a matter for local police forces and the Crown Prosecution Service, not the UK Government or Parliament.
