What the petition asks
To address the issue of the lack of representation within the UK workplace, the Government should require companies to report on the ethnicity of their full workforce and executive staff.
This will help shine a light on race/ ethnicity-based inequalities, and should encourage unbiased recruiting.

14% of the working age population are from BME backgrounds, and research has found that the UK economy would be roughly £24bn a year bigger if BME employees progressed at work at the same pace as their white colleagues.
Everyone, regardless of ethnicity or background, should be given the opportunity to fulfil their potential at work.
A fully inclusive workplace is the target. Holding companies accountable for is imperative to achieving this.
