Lawfully charge people defacing war memorials with treason
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Bring justice to those who fought in the great wars by criminally charging those who deface them
It's an absolute insult to those who gave their lives for peace and freedom just to have their memorials violated in such a way where people find it acceptable
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions on whether to arrest and prosecute alleged offenders is a matter for local police forces and the Crown Prosecution Service, not the UK Government or Parliament.
