Do not extend Sunday Trading Hours for Retail

What the petition asks
The Government should not extend Sunday trading hours. We believe this would cause no overall increase in spending but would cause problems for already hard-working shop staff, who would have to change rotas and plan for additional opening times.
Many big retailers have remained open during the pandemic, and the Government should not increase pressures on shop workers by extending opening hours on Sunday.
Current hours can already be a strain on family life, and extending these would cause rota issues and mean more staff will need to work on Sunday.
