Petition · past parliament

Vandalism of any British War Memorial needs to be a criminal/ custodial offence.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

In light of the divisive politics currently sweeping the UK there needs to be a law passed to make desecration of British War Memorials a criminal and/or custodial offence.
If the UK government cared for it soldiers at all they would pass a new law immediately to protect the memory of those died.
Because many UK veterans such as myself have fought for this country and lost friends and NOW we are expected to sit idle while our memorials are desecrated?
It is absolutely reprehensible that political groups can deface, vandalise, destroy and do as they please with the very few places we can solemnly stand and remember those who have fallen for the freedom of Britain as a whole.
