What the petition asks

Make it Illegal for any person to desecrate the British flag or attempt to do so. The British flag should be given the same protection that has been given to War Memorials and Graves with same punishment should it be desecrated.

At a time of differences the British flag is one thing we can all unite behind. The flag is part of every Citizen and any act of desecration to this flag is an attack on all people and the values we hold as a nation. It is a symbol of what we british stand for and what we want to be as and should be used as an example to other Nations on how we can all be united irrespective of Race, Religion or class we are one people.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
