What the petition asks

Exactly as stated

The wording of "the ultimate sacrifice" doesn't quite cover what these people have given, the one existence anyone ever has-given to others for their freedoms. To describe the abuse of the symbol of their sacrifice as mere vandalism does not give it the status it deserves. The vast majority of the public are sick of the tolerance given to such abuses and these crimes need to be given the magnitude of action they deserve.
