Open zoos, safari parks and aquariums with social distancing urgently

What the petition asks

Animals lives matter too and the Hunan race need to conserve the lives of animals facing extinction. The public need to enjoy seeing these beautiful animals after lockdown and we can’t travel.
We want priority given to zoos safari parks and aquariums to open at the same time as retail centres and outlet villages.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

On 10 June the Prime Minister announced that zoos would be able to reopen from 15 June: https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/pm-statement-at-the-coronavirus-press-conference-10-june-2020

The Government's list of businesses that are allowed to open now states that outdoor areas of, zoos, safari parks, wildlife centres and other animal attractions are all allowed to open: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/further-businesses-and-premises-to-close/further-businesses-and-premises-to-close-guidance
