Take down all statues honouring historical slave traders

Great Britain has had a pivotal role in the transatlantic slave trade. Many historical figures who have had statues erected in their honour own slaves.

This is not the way to preserve history. Museums preserve history. Let's pull down these landmarks.

Decisions about individual historical monuments, statues, plaques and street names are a matter for the local authority in which they are located and private landowners, not the UK Government or Parliament.
