Petition · past parliament

I would like British historical monuments, signs etc protected.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I would like there to be a law which protects monuments and British history from being destroyed or removed. These things are a part of our history and we should not be ashamed of how far we have come.
British history is controversial with the slave trade etc. However without the monuments and Victorian history that we have, there is nothing to show how far we have come since the days of slavery. Our Country is one of the most multicultural Countries in the world and part of this is because of our history. I believe that it should be a criminal offence to destroy, remove or vandalise any historic monument, even if its by order of the Mayor of London
