Create law to criminalise the desecration in any way of a UK war memorial,
Rejected

What the petition asks
Make the desecration, damaging of application of Graffiti on any War memorial dedicated to any UK and Commonwealth military personnel a criminal offence. Punishable by fines and even custodial sentencing.
There are many of us past and present that have placed ourselves in a position of danger in order to allow for certain freedoms that we now all enjoy. The freedom of speech being arguably one of the most important, freedom of speech however does not give the freedom to vandalise anything you wish. To damage something that commemorates the bravery of those that went before us to ensure our liberties is an affront to the memory of those brave men and women.
