Review History curriculum and teach next generations the truths of Colonialism

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Review History curriculum in UK schools and teach next generations the truths and horrors of European Colonialism. It's important for next generations to truly understand how other continents were pillaged and divided between European colonies for monetary gain.
It's crucial to gain a different historical perspective by understanding the horrors and atrocities committed by European colonies. Much of today's racism is derived from a lack of knowledge and understanding by the general public. Groups such as the English Defence League and Britain First instigate and spread hate towards minority groups. Minority groups whose countries were invaded, families and communities ripped apart, natural riches stolen all while destroying their history and traditions.
