What the petition asks

Statues, monuments, landmarks & street names are integral to the history of national & local communities. They should be awarded protection & be valued.
Any removal should only be allowed following full local/national public surveys and voted democratically.
More leverage is being given to small narrow minded groups with intent of suffocating the truth of our nations history.
The government should protect our nations history & heritage, It is these moments defined in our history which has allowed the UK to be a multi cultural society. Statues, monuments, landmarks & street names should be offered national governmental protection with immediate effect. until a final resolution is passed.
