Review and reform stop and search policy

Closed 107 signatures

What the petition asks

Under current policy a black person is 47 times more likely to be stopped and searched than white people. This needs to stop.
The Government should review current stop and search policies, and reform these to ensure that these powers are not used unless there is suspicion of a crime having taking place, and that people from black and other ethnic minority groups are not disproportionately stopped and searched.
