What the petition asks
Abolish charges for garden waste collections from Kent council and all councils in the uk
We all ready pay £1700 per year in council tax and to charge more for garden waste is disgusting. We already pay enough it's just going to promote fly tipping or a charge at council tips this is wrong.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Waste management is devolved, so it is up to individual local authorities how to manage this, and whether to impose any charges, not the Government or Parliament.
