Petition · past parliament

Arrest all those who had defaced war memorials regardless of colour.

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

We demand justice against those that feel it is ok to damage war memorials and statues criminally, and they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
It seems that the government and the police are standing by and allowing this to happen. They do this damage and then walk away free thinking that it is ok to do acts of criminal damage.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions on whether to arrest and prosecute alleged offenders is a matter for local police forces and the Crown Prosecution Service, not the UK Government or Parliament.
