All English citizens to be allowed to vote for Mayor of London

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

It must not be left to just those who live in London. It is the English Capital, not just any town or city and as such the people of the whole of The English people should vote for who runs our Capital City.
It cannot be sensible for our Capital to be high jacked to suit a persons agenda, as is possible when there is a majority of a certain people with a like mind. It is then to biased towards their needs, rather than the whole population.
Either open the vote to all citizens or appoint a Mayor via Parliament. The Mayor should be of the same Party as the Government in power at the time.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure whether you want the Government to appoint the Mayor of London or for them to be elected across the UK
