What the petition asks
The UK will need to immediately cease arms sales to SA, through any direct and indirect channels.
It will also need to pressure Saudia Arabia through use of the diplomatic link between UK and SA to immediately stop bombing Yemen.
It will also need to pressure Saudia Arabia through use of the diplomatic link between UK and SA to immediately stop bombing Yemen.
Yemen is entering it's 6th year of a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran - and the UK has profited by selling arms to Saudi Arabia.
The savage Saudi bombings have led to schools, shelters and hospitals being destroyed, and this is especially bad given COVID is now wreaking havoc through the region. Ports have also been bombed to stop incoming foreign aid.
This is done so that the Sauds can instill a goverment they have control over in Yemen to pressure Iran.
The UK has power to stop this.
