The government must keep their promise to allow gender self-determination

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

The government has leaked that they plan not to allow gender self-determination as previously planned, despite over 70% support in their own census. They have also indicated that they plan to “protect women’s spaces” including lavatories, which means bathroom bills
You are directly going back on your promises despite support for gender self-determination.

Men have never needed to pretend to be women to invade women’s spaces, and stopping trans women from using the stall next to a cis woman to pee isn’t going to stop that.

People are hardly going to be doing detailed genital, chromosome, and hormone balance checks on the way in, so it would be based on looking femme enough and would increase misogynistic harassment for all, as seen in the US.
