Lower unfair passport fees for the EU citizens who live in the United Kingdom

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

Lower unfair £1400 fees for the British citizenship to the EU nationals who live, work, contribute and build United Kingdom. This fees are not only unfair but also manifests aspects of racism and nationalism. Treating EU nationals who live in the UK for many years as citizens of the inferior category
Government makes big money out of it,despite EU nationals are actively making contributions to the UK's economy. There are families in which children born in the UK,where one child was allowed to have British citizenship on the same rights as British people, and the others not. It creates huge disadvantage to these children. Therefore, it is reasonable that UK government should allow EU citizens who live long enough in the UK to apply for the UK citizenship on the same rights, as British citizens.
